So my last journal was a year and some ago so i guess I should update a bit.

I graduated from high school in the spring, my hometown was flooded my old high school had 7' of water in it and 14+ carp have been caught in it. I got a wacom tablet and laptop for graduation and i have recently switched to mostly digital art.

In a few weeks, I am starting school at my community college to take the required boring classes. The next year, I plan to go to the University of Southern Indiana, double majoring in Art and Business. I figured there are enough starving artist types in my family as it is.

I have recently been putting together a complete set of clothing and such for medieval reenacting. I am going for the year 1214. I have adjusted my hauburk to fit me, as I have grown like a foot since i made it. It currently is long sleeved and has the mitten pieces. I also have my pempridge helm as armour. I am having the textiles made by various family members. My sister made me a shirt, pants, and tabard. My mom is knitting socks and my aunt is supposed to be making me a gambeson. I bought some shoes from goodwill, but they are shitty and defiantly not period, so I may be making my own. For accessories, I stitched together a leather bag which has a sheith on the back. I also made a belt from a leather strap I ordered. I bought a nice little rustic glass cup/goblet at goodwill which i made a belt frog for. The other day it broke though. For armament, I have commissioned a spear head from jakepog [link] , a most excellent blacksmith. I got a pole for it which I suspect is aspen as I couldn't find a strait enough ash tree without holes in it. I am hoping to have all of this put together for August 16, when myself, my sister and a friend of hers are going to the bristol renaissance fair in Wisconsin.
